Vincent Williams

Vincent Williams is an accomplished performing artist and instructor, and a long time faculty member at Joy of Motion Dance Center.  He has worked with such renowned artists as Kevin Jeff, Rod Rogers, Gloria Conterez, Mercedes Ellington, Marilyn Mansen, and international touring artist, Cheryl Porter, and danced with Jason Taylor Dance Theater and D.C. Contemporary Dance Theater International Company.  Vincent is a graduate of Bowie State University .

A well-diversified choreographer, Vincent has developed dance segments for MTV Europe, the international Broadway show “Sing Mahalia Sing”, international ballroom dancing, and numerous television, movie, and commercial productions.

Vincent is a well-respected dance teacher.  Each class begins with well-balanced floor exercises that prepare students for high energy, fully extended movements and choreography.  This successful teaching technique, honed over 20 years, has placed him in demand by artists and his fellow professionals.  In addition to JOMDC, Vincent has held faculty positions at Thomas Pullen Performing Arts Magnet School, and the John Hanson French Immersion/Montessori School.

Vincent recently finished a tour of Italy , Austria , Croatia , Hungary , Germany and Switzerland and completed a live album which will be aired on XM Satellite Radio. His new single, “Tribute to Rosa Parks”, will be released in March on Mike Sponza’s new album. He is currently performing and teaching in the United States and abroad.
